Type II

Bu yapıda devrik cümle yapabilmek için be fiili için “were +Özne” kullanılır ve diğer fiiller için ise “were +Özne + to do” kullanılır.

If I were a carpenter I would build my own house.[a9]
Were I a carpenter I would build my own house.[a10]

If I had a map I would lend it to you.[a11]
Were I to have a map I would lend it to you.[a12]

If he didn’t study more he wouldn’t pass the exam[a13] .

Bu yapıda devrik cümle yapabilmek için “Had +Özne” kullanılır
